“Building materials and architectural fragments of various ages, appearance and quality form the material basis of the work of Austrian artist Andreas Fogarasi. The participatory installation, which was created with local citizens through the gesture of loaning doors from their houses, is part of Fogarasi’s long-term series “Material Libraries” and was tailor-made for the Blansko City Gallery. Through this series, the artist not only males visible relics of the past, but also explores people’s relationship to architecture and design”.
