Dagoberto Rodriguez

We are pleased to announce the installation of Dagoberto Rodriguez’s sculptures at the Lázaro Galdiano Museum in Madrid.

From September 9th to November 15th, the Lázaro Galdiano Museum Garden will be transformed, for the second consecutive year, into an open-air art gallery and one of the venues for the 17th edition of Apertura Madrid Gallery Weekend. This is one of the year’s most prominent art events, bringing together artists, industry professionals, collectors, institutions, companies, and international and national audiences in the capital to offer a unique experience through exhibitions open to all and free of charge.

Cuban artist Dagoberto Rodríguez (Galería Casado Santapau), who draws inspiration from the aesthetics of Lego toys in Bloques (I, II, and III), explores the relationships between play, architecture, memory, and politics.

A passage through a welcoming garden that also seems to become a journey through different perspectives. Or perhaps a bridge between an island and the mainland.
