GREGOR HILDEBRANDT

Falling Through Space and Time is the new Gregor Hildebrandt’s  solo exhibition at the Mies van der Rohe House.

For the first time in the history of the Mies van der Rohe House, an exhibition covers the entire expanse of the outside space. The garden also becomes a reflection surface. Gregor Hildebrandt realized a grandiose work for the house, diverse and poetic at the same time. A black sail is hoisted on the garden. Hildebrandt’s installation, a black sail woven from magnetic tapes, will only be shown live for a short time at the beginning of the exhibition. A bronze pawn chess piece over two meters high marks the garden area. The two opposite exhibition rooms of the L-shaped Mies van der Rohe house are understood as positive-negative space and thus related to each other beyond the architectural point of view by means of art.

Opening: Sunday, October 10, 4 p.m.

Exhibition period: October 10, 2021 – March 27, 2022

Oberseestraße 60, 13053 Berlin, Germany
