“The Museo de Arte Contemporáneo (MAC) of the Universidad de Chile will begin its 2024 program with eight exhibitions at its headquarters in Parque Forestal. These are individual exhibitions that, through a multiplicity of formats such as sculpture, photography and installation, deal with themes such as landscape and the extraction of resources, the effects of humans on nature, the link with the more-than-human, among others.

Atacama, offers images of the desert of the same name, intervened, in a minimalist key, with copper plate. These simple virtual interventions on the landscape, which superimpose the red metal on stones, sands, ravines, hills and mounds, make reference to the multiple histories -past, present and future- that the “driest desert in the world” holds”.
